Welcome Back!

We loved "Le Refuge", our little cottage in Provence so much last year, we decided to return...this time for two weeks. The owner Marie is such a delight and welcomed us back with opened arms. We always have such nice chats. Even though her English is broken and 3/4 of what she says is in French, we are still able to understand each other just fine.

Les Baux-de-Provence is the most dramatic fortress site in Provence. The first citadel was built here in the 10th century. You can view the ruins and the village is about as charming as they come.

Today we visited our first market in the village of L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue. This 17th century town lies on the river Sorgue and has one of the best markets, a major haunt for French antique hunters....yes please. Mike says it's a good thing we're flying, not driving home, or the car would be loaded up for sure.

Tomorrow we're off to Fontaine-de-Vaucluse.......till then, Bonsoir....
